While you are in the hospital, your case manager can help you with questions or concerns about finances and insurance coverage.

Insurance Information
Most health care plans require pre-approval for any hospital admission or service. Please keep in mind that in the event of an emergency admission or service, you or a family member may need to call your insurance company within 24 hours. Please call our Notification Line at (603) 577-2268 with the information.

Your Hospital Bill
As a courtesy, The Medical Center will bill your insurance company for services provided. If you receive a bill and have questions, please call our Business Office at (603) 577-7800, weekdays 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. We accept payment by check, American Express, VISA, or MasterCard.

Your primary care doctor and other medical specialists involved in your care as a patient at The Medical Center will bill you directly for their services. If you have any questions about payment for those services, please call your doctor’s office.

Making Payments
We know that health care costs can come up unexpectedly. Whether you are insured or uninsured, whether or not you qualify for financial assistance — we understand that you may have difficulty paying your health care costs in full at the time of service or in a lump sum. We are happy to work with any patient to set up a payment plan.

If you would like to make a payment in person, the cashier’s office is located near the main lobby of The Medical Center’s Main Campus and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

Charges for Healthcare Services
The links below provide information regarding the most common tests and procedures that we perform. Prompt Payment Discounts
Prompt payment discounts are available under certain circumstances. A 20% discount will be offered to all patients with a balance due of more than $49.99 who make full payment within 30 days from the first statement date. A 15% discount will be offered to all patients with a balance due of more than $49.99 who make full payment after 30 days from the first statement date, but within 60 days. Discounts can not be retro-activated.

Uninsured Patients
The Medical Center offers many programs for patients without health insurance. In addition to the resources listed on this page (payment arrangements, prompt payment discounts, and financial assistance), any uninsured patient who receives non-elective, medically necessary services at the Medical Center will be billed an amount no greater than the amount generally billed and received by the Medical Center for that service for patients covered by health insurance. This billing practice will not preclude you from receiving any other forms of financial assistance we offer.
