Lymphedema Program

Lymphedema is persistent swelling of a body part, usually an arm or leg, that sometimes occurs as a result of cancer surgery or treatment.

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s Lymphedema Program is a National Lymphedema Network (NLN) affiliated site and the only facility in New Hampshire to meet the requirements for this recognition. This means that you are receiving the most current and effective treatments available from knowledgeable and skilled clinicians. The designation also reflects the high level of quality care we provide as well as our commitment to increased awareness of this condition.

Our goal for your treatment is twofold: to reduce the limb(s) volume or swelling and to teach you how to manage your condition. Your benefits include:  improved flexibility and range of motion, return to work and leisure activities, lessening of pain and discomfort, regaining a positive outlook on life, improved ease of performing activities of daily living, as well as preventing infections and other complications.

For more information about our Lymphedema Program, please call the Rehab Center at (603) 577-8400.
