Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are a way to bring new treatment possibilities to people who have not responded to  regular therapy. All such trials are subject to rigorous standards and supervised by a special review board with federal oversight. Currently, eligible patients are referred to Massachusetts General Hospital and Norris Cotton Cancer Center, with expansion to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the near future. In this way, we hope to ensure that more people can benefit from new treatments and advancements in the fight against cancer.

Learn more about clinical trials at SNHHS.

Within our Breast Cancer Program, we have open trials in surgery and medical oncology. Our Cancer Care Coordinator will work with you to assess your eligibility for local trials as well as open trials at MGH Cancer Center in Boston. (Check for specific open trials at http://www.massgeneral.org/cancer/SearchTrials.aspx )

You can research additional clinical trials at our patient resource room, with educational materials and free internet Wi-Fi access.
