Electrophysiology

Electrophysiology studies are used to assess potentially serious electrical conduction abnormalities in your heart that can cause life threatening arrhythmias. These studies are sometimes performed before you receive a cardiac device. Catheter-based ablation therapies treat certain arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation. Cardiologists from Lahey Clinic who specialize in electrophysiology are available to perform these studies here at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
