Permanent Pacemaker

If your heart is beating too slowly, a pacemaker implant may help to regulate your heart rhythm. This is a small device, consisting of a pulse generator or battery and one or two leads that are connected to your heart chambers. Pacemakers are often recommended for patients who experience dizziness or fainting spells related to slow heart rhythms or for those at significant risk for developing slow heart rhythms.
