Southern New Hampshire Health System offers genetic counseling services for cancer patients. Genetic counseling can help guide an individualized approach to your treatment and also identify your risk of developing other cancers based on your personal and/or family history.

Through our relationship with Massachusetts General Hospital, a certified genetic counselor provides evaluation, counseling, testing, and referral for appropriate ongoing monitoring, treatment and follow-up for hereditary cancers, including:

• Breast
• Gynecological cancers: ovarian, uterine and fallopian tube
• Gastrointestinal: colon, rectal, pancreatic and gastric
• Genitourinary: kidney
• Endocrine: thyroid, pituitary and adrenal
• Skin: melanoma
